This cemetery is located behind the Primitive Church of Jesus Christ, also known as Bethel Church

Directions:

Located 3 miles north of Inglis on US 19, west side of the road, behind Primitive Church of Jesus Christ.

Notes:

Two tombstones have the last name of Harding. Richard Hawthorne, grandson of Rev. B.F. and Ruby Hawthorne, says the name should be Hardin, but when Eddie S. Hardin(g) entered the U.S. Army in WWII, his name was spelled incorrectly and he kept that incorrectly spelled name because it was on so many official records. A granite marker at the front of the cemetary reads as follows; "Hawthorne Cemetary, Founded 1955, Felix D. Hawthorne, In memory of Ben and Ruby" On the rear of this granite marker is the following: "Father and Mother Ben F. and Ruby I. Hawthorne - Children: Howard N. Hawthorne, Felix D. Hawthorne, Jaunita (sic) W. Harding, Margaret L. Hawthorne, Ruth N. Kirkland, Vaughnceil Busbee, Mozell Jones - Grandchildren: Robert L. Hawthorne, R. Jeanette Skultety, Shirley H. Donnell, Kenneth C. Kirkland, Joyce A. McHuges, Sandra G. Patrick, Carolyn S. Norton, Wayne B. Hawthorne, Gregory H. Kirkland, W. Gary Jones, Richard D. Hawthorne, R. Michael Jones, David L. Harding, William L. Busbee, Ben F. Harding". Survey was conducted on 11-15-2000.
